Player/Parent Code of Conduct

FBBSB - Player Code of Conduct

  • Abide by the rules of the game at all times
  • Always treat your teammates and your opposition with respect regardless of their race, sex, creed, or ability
  • Respect all coaches, officials, parents, and spectators
  • Refrain from posting any negative commentary, defamatory or harassing remarks or images on any social media.  Please remember to be respectful when posting anything on social media.
  • Do not use foul or abusive language or gestures towards any player, coach, official, or spectator
  • Refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal substances
  • Always treat the facilities and equipment with respect wherever you may play
  • Cheer your teammates and never lay blame on another teammate either publicly or in private
  • Never argue or question an official or coach
  • Never threaten a coach, official, player, or spectator
  • Never strike a coach, official, player, or spectator
  • Always conduct yourself in a courteous and respectful manner

Ejection from the game

Another player resulting in injury

Ejection from the game, and a two game minimum suspension

Threatening gesture and/or language

2nd occurrence for the above infractions

Suspension for the balance of the season.  Letter from parent/guardian expressing steps taken to ensure no further reoccurrence

Kicking, striking, or bodily assault

A player, coach, official, or spectator

Ejection from the game, and a four game suspension.  A letter from parent/guardian expressing steps taken to ensure no further reoccurrence

Kicking, striking, or bodily assault – 2nd offense, same season.  Also applies to 3rd occurrence of above infractions

A player, coach, official, or spectator

Suspension for one year.  A letter from parent/guardian expressing steps taken to ensure no further reoccurrence

Kicking, striking, or bodily assault – 3rd offense within one year (any sport)

A player, coach, official, or spectator

Lifetime suspension

  • Promote good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support to all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or other youth sporting event
  • Always support coaches and officials working with your child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience
  • Refrain from posting any negative commentary, defamatory or harassing remarks or images on any social media.  Please remember to be respectful when posting anything on social media.
  • Never interfere with the conduct of the game or practice
  • Refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other illegal substances
  • Do not use any foul or abusive language or gesture towards any coach, official, player, or spectator
  • Remember the games are for the youth – not for the adults
  • Never threaten a coach, official, player, or spectator
  • Never strike a coach, official, player, or spectator
  • Always do your best to make sure youth sports are played in a safe, healthy, and fun environment
  • Always promote that your child treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of the race, sex, creed, or ability
